Synergy Heath Kendal and Kendal Town Centre are only 20 minutes drive from J36 of the M6 motorway (from the South) or 15 minutes drive from J37 of the M6 (from the North). It is also easy to access from around the Lake District via the A591, A6 and A590. Kendal is a pretty market town with a variety of shops, plenty of history and the odd festival. If you are travelling from afar – why not make the day of it and explore the surroundings.

The West Coast Main Railway Line stops at Oxenholme Station which provides a fast link to London (3 hours), Manchester (1hour 15 mins) and around the country. See getting here by public transport below.

Directions from Kendal Town Centre (on foot, bike, by car):

Once in Kendal, follow the one-way system from New Road over Miller Bridge and onto Aynam Road. Turn Left as you leave the Bridge, almost immediately, into Bridge Street. Again almost immediately take the first left into Bridge Lane. Vehicle access in Bridge Lane is limited to drop-off only. The pedestrian main entrance is through a gate in the wall off Bridge Lane. Our animal annexe is accessed through the second gate in the wall. You will see the signs for Synergy Health Kendal.

There is roadside parking along Little Aynam Road (continue along Bridge Street) or we are a short distance from the main town centre car parks. The nearest is the Westmorland and Furness Council multi-storey at LA9 4DX (3 minute walk).

We have limited parking available on site - you are welcome to use this if there is space - this can be accessed on the left through the stone wall pillars immediately on turning into Bridge Street off Miller Bridge.  Follow along past the Georgian building keeping the river on your left, until you arrive at the far end car park.

Getting here by public transport:

Oxenholme Station which is on the West Coast Main Line connects to the Lakes Line which is a short 4 minute journey (change trains) to Kendal Station close to the Town Centre. Synergy Health is a 10 minute walk from Kendal Station along the river through Gooseholme Park. Regular buses also run between Oxenholme Station and Kendal Town Centre and taxi services are available.

Kendal Station also connects to Staveley and Windermere Stations and Kendal is well connected by bus routes both nationally and throughout the Lake District main towns and villages.

Directions from Kendal Station on foot

On leaving the Station, cross the roundabout from Station Road onto Wildman Street. Signposted Town Centre. After 130 metres, turn left at the zebra crossing onto Castle Street and head along the river. Almost immediately you can cross the road on to St George’s Walk which is a riverside pedestrian path that takes you through Gooseholme Park. Follow the riverside tarmac path to the end of the Park and pedestrian route, and turn right on Little Aynam Road. You will pass the Scouts Hut and Gilkes carpark is in front of you – at this point you can cut right into Bridge Lane and can probably see the Synergy Health sign. Once in Bridge Lane, the pedestrian main entrance is through a gate in the wall and our animal annexe is accessed through the second gate in the wall. You will see the signs for Synergy Health Kendal.
