Rachel is member of the McTimoney Animal Association she has  BSc(hons) Animal Behaviour, PgDip animal massage, MSc Animal Manipulation, Equine Cranialsacral level 1 (foundation of ECS)) ,2 (unwinding), 3 TMJ and the equine athlete).

Rachel is a fully trained McTimoney animal chiropractor and Equine cranialsacral therapist. She combines these techniques alongside gentle massage and an interest in animal behaviour, when and where appropriate, to provide an individual and tailored treatment that benefits each animal in her care.

Having owned horses and dogs for over 20 years, Rachel has always been keen to pursue a career working with animals, with a specific interest in animal health.

After completing a degree from the University of Liverpool with a BSc (hons) in Animal Behaviour, it was obvious that physiology was the direction she wanted to follow. However, it wasn’t until she had a bad riding accident causing her to seek help for her own back that she was introduced into the world of spinal therapy and the benefits of Mctimoney chiropractic as a whole body treatment. She then decided to go and train herself, but to help animals instead, completing an MSc Animal Manipulation at the Mctimoney college of Oxford in 2018.

When she is driving to clients or to see her horses, Rachel also loves listening to a variety of podcasts from “True crime” to “Animal health”, which is how she became interested in cranialsacral therapy! Inspired after listening to Maureen Rogers, founder of equine cranialsacral therapy, talk about this fascinating modality, she knew by learning the technique she could bring a unique element to her existing practice.

In her spare time Rachel enjoys walking with her dog, Ted or riding the fells with her Welsh D pony, Saffy – closely followed alongside by mini shetland Nora!
