Kendal’s new holistic health offer
15 May 2024
Following a full refurb and completion of the Kendal flood defences on the site – Synergy Health Kendal has now fully opened its doors.
To mark the occasion, they are holding a free Open Day on Friday 7th June 2pm – 7pm and Saturday 8th June 10am – 4pm.
A McTimoney Chiropractic and Wellness Centre, the Synergy Health team offer a range of well-being services and holistic therapies from chiropractic and massage to yoga and homeopathy. Treatments are given by fully qualified, highly trained and experienced practitioners in a safe and relaxing space.
Christine Hagon is a McTimoney Chiropractor and the Centre’s Founder. She said “we aim to be part of the community’s health service – bridging the gap between orthodox and holistic medicine, signposting between the two and supporting individuals on their health journey.”
“With a combination of primary health care practitioners and holistic therapists working together from the same location, our mission is to support individuals on their health journey and get them back to doing what they love.”
“Our wellbeing services include mental health support and relaxation therapies such as massage and yoga. We have specialists in both mobility and chronic conditions and focus on treating the whole body not just symptoms. We work with a number of individuals with health conditions or neurodivergence that result in sensitivity to their environment such as autism or migraines. We aim to provide a welcoming space for all and adapt our treatments accordingly” she added.
The Open Day is a chance to meet the team and learn about the treatments available – including some free taster sessions. There will also be light refreshments and demonstrations and talks throughout both days.
In addition to treatments for people, Synergy Health has specialist, qualified animal practitioners who provide Animal McTimoney Chiropractic and Holistic Veterinary treatments for pets, such as acupuncture in a separate Animal Annexe at the same location.
Rachel Hamer leads the Animal Annexe and is a fully qualified McTimoney Animal Chiropractor and also has a degree in Animal Behaviour. She said “Some people are a bit apprehensive taking their dog to a chiropractor, but I use a gentle technique and generally find the dogs enjoy the attention and feel relaxed throughout the experience.”
“The Open Day is an opportunity to ask questions and see demonstrations of how this can help a range of mobility and behaviour concerns.” Rachel continued.
Christine explained “To our knowledge, this is the first time McTimoney chiropractic care has been available in Kendal, which we have combined with other holistic therapists to provide an integrated health and wellbeing service from our relaxing premises by the river. A holistic centre where pets can also receive some of the same complimentary therapies in the adjacent Annexe we believe is also a first for Kendal.”
